Wythenshawe Vets Over 35s are based in south the city and compete in the Cheshire Vets Division Top Division.

"I warn my defender 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to keep running.

"The running is what I'm seeking. It's enjoyable."

'Surreal Feeling

Along with the forward's 6 scores on debut, Ireland has netted 8 in three appearances for the side, while George Boyd scored 5 on his debut appearance and Joleon Lescott, a centre-half by position, scored a triple in one game as a striker.

Wythenshawe are leading of the Top Division with three wins from three and a GD of plus nineteen.
