The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
